COMMITTED TO THE ENVIRONMENT
At Casa Palacio Madre de Dios we consider that we can make the world a better and cleaner place. We believe that each one of us must help to make this happen and we are aware that we are in a privileged situation to help tourism to be a more sustainable sector and minimize the impact on the environment.
During the last decades, international tourism has grown exponentially, which in addition to being great news thank, in part, to the great improvement and development of all the different way of transportation and that allows people to enjoy other places, cultures, gastronomies, etc., an expansion of such a scale and this fast, has to make an impact on the environment.
On the other hand, the awareness of society with the planet’s environment has caused travelers to demand more and better sustainability standards and also more and more tourism companies understand their role in minimizing their environmental impact, which among others things, increases the quality and competitiveness of the sector.
Knowing this and being aware of our role in the sustainability of the sector and of the world, we have achieved that all the energy consumed at Casa Palacio Madre de Dios is from 100% renewable origin. We even have a small photovoltaic plant that generates our own renewable energy for all our accommodation. We even have a project to install a photovoltaic plant that will generate around 50% of the energy consumed in the accommodation, which will take place during the last months of 2020.
